Scone Palace is one of Scotland's most important historic sites — the place where kings of Scotland were crowned for centuries, including Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II. For over 1,500 years, Scone (pronounced "Skoon") has been at the heart of Scottish history, and the Stone of Destiny — the ancient coronation stone — was kept here before being taken to Westminster Abbey by Edward I in 1296.
Today, Scone Palace is the magnificent family home of the Earl of Mansfield, surrounded by over 100 acres of stunning grounds, gardens and woodland. The Stone of Destiny
Learn about the legendary Stone of Destiny — the coronation stone upon which Scottish kings were crowned for centuries at Scone. A replica marks the original location on Moot Hill, where this ancient ceremony took place in the open air.

The Peacocks
